Default Front Tire

'Evening all:

Purchasing a front tire for my Dyna FXD. I know I need a D401 100/90 19, but am not sure as to the three or four ply. Any recommendations?

Thanks!!

AVON Venom 19" Front tires in 100 or 120 mm will suit you fine and give you miles of smiles with sticky traction and strong road life .

What would be the next best Avon tire if you can’t find a venom tire?

Thanks all, I ended up getting the 4 Ply. Already running a pretty new Dunlop on the back and I really don't want to mix brands (for now).

Avon "Venom or Cobra" tires are my preference, although mixing tires wont affect the handling or longevity/mileage you'll get .I Run AVON 100 mm in front and 150 mm's in back on My 03 Anniversary Dyna and 2001 FXDX Sport . On my 89 FXR I'm running a 120mm front and 150mm rear . Pirelli and Michelin also make excellent tires as well - Since I have a "dealer buy in" with AVON and they perform excellent,I like em alot-but I also have a few spare Michelins,Metzler and Dunlops for use and sale if a customer asks for them . Just my opinion : I'd rather have sticky and radial *GRAB* as opposed to mileage since I ride My H-Ds hard and fast with suspension upgrades and cornering faith of the tires I run .
