Default Tank lift and new seat

I have an 01 DWG. Did a 2 inch tank lift on the front, and 3/8 inch on the back. The seat is a bit kinked, and is also in need or recover or replacement. Is there a seat that would work better with the lift, or would it be better to modify and recover existing seat? How would I modify if that is the better option?

Huh, I have an 06 and the front seat mount slides under the rear mount of the tank so I'm not even there are many seat that don't extend over the rear of tank or even heard of someone doing a lift on the rear of the tank.

The rear tank lift is an option from DK Customs (and maybe more companies, but I haven't looked into it), but I've never seen one in person that had the rear lift installed as well.

Which route is the best option probably depends on how much you like the current seat.

You can easily trim some material off the nose of the current seat pan to clear the tail of the tank. If you like the basic shape of the seat PAN, the foam and cover can made however you want. Expect the cost to be similar to a brand new seat tho.

The majority of new seats will have the same issue. There are a few that don't climb over the tank. Unfortunately it's been too long since I did this search and I can't remember which. You'll have to do lots of image searching to determine what works right.

I seem to vaguely recall some RSD seats being a little short nosed but I could be misremembering.
