Removable Saddle Bags Street Bob

RE: Removable Saddle Bags Street Bob
Well I can tell you that I am having problems with thebags that I brought from my dealer!! There is a huge amount of play in them so they rattle when I ride over any bumps, and on the male portion for where you put the bags on there are black plastic guides to slide the bags on........well the plastic on them is cracking!

I have the Easy Brackets on some "generic" throw overs from a local leather shop.I don't know how the MOCO bags work but the rattling can be eliminated on the Easy Brackets by adding a set of washers to one set of mounting pegs to offset them just enough to tighten them up. IE. take your front mounting pegs off add a 1/16" thick washer to each at the bottom and bolt them back up.I also have a Thunderheader which would drown out any rattling at anything above idle.So there you have it,either a couple washers or a $700 exhaust system will do the trick.

I have the detacheable Harley bags and they are the best accessory I ever got for this bike. Convenient, well built, look good. I've had them for almost two years, no problems. Well worth the money. Got them for 20% off at Chicago Harley. They were $800 retail ($640from CH)but now I see they are $875 retail.

I cheaped out and got some ***** & Max slant bags that work great! Have zippers so easily remove, fit really well w/o relocating turn signals, look fabulous (hard to tell they aren't leather), very well made, and were well under $100! Couldn't be happier, but they aren't the biggest bags around.
