I’m going to look at a 1999 FXDX this weekend with 24k miles on it. I’m going to pay 5k for it and it’s pretty much all stock besides v&h pro pipe and forward controls. I’ve never owned an older dyna so I’m just curious if there is anything I should look for before I buy it?
and I already have all the ideas of how I’m going to mod this thing out. Thanks in advance. Pics below

take down the vin and see if the recall was done on the cam plate. early twin cams had issues with the cam plate bearings. Pic look pretty clean though.
