Default Is a 2018 low rider as smooth as a 2017 low rider

Cruising at 80-90mph 2 up would a 2018 low rider dissipate high frequency vibes as well as the 2017 low rider?

I know the 2018s are not Dynas but I am comparing against one. I don't care about vibes below 50mph or idle shake.

There arevavfew people in the softail forum who have switched from the dyna lr to softie lr. Theres a running thread as well. Reach out to them. Folks in the dyna forum tend to be unreasonable / unrealistic about the dynas vs new softies... basically, you are asking the wrong people.

The best way to compare the two bikes is to ride them both. A vibration that bothers you might not be noticeable or significant to someone else.

2-up at 80-90mph? I'd be more concerned with tire pressure and tire life. Especially if it's sustained.

Wife has a new 18 Deluxe. Yeah....you're good. It's not even remotely comparable to a 17 Dyna.

To each his own.
Part of the draw toward Harleys for Me "IS the Vibration", the Harley Davidson History and of course the Early Days Biker Image.
Like buying a Decaf Coffee... Why Bother? lol
Its All Good though.

Same here! I wanted to cruise on an American Made bike. I had a choice. Harley Davidson or Indian. Victory was a no-go for me since they're no longer made. I tried both brands, several models. Eventually decided on a 2017 Street Bob. Part of the reason is the sound/vibration. It feels and sounds great!

I test rode a 2015 lowrider and then a 2018 lowrider a few weeks back and I noticed almost no vibration on the 2018. The bike was fast, handled great but lacked a bit of character in my opinion. I didn’t ride two up, but we pushed well past 90 and it was very comfortable.

Do you want nostalgia and old technology or a modern motorcycle that's better in every respect?
Regardless of what you do or how much money you spend on a 2017 Lowrider, a 2018 Lowrider will still be a better bike.

I got some good info from one of Member: "F86" past posts on helping keep our rear wheel/tire in line for better trail when riding and holds the road much better in corners...
I bought the same Upper Engine Mount that he uses and I also bought the Solid Aluminum (with No Rubber) handle riser Bushings. I was Pleasantly Surprised that the bike does seem to Handle Better AND has quite a bit More Vibration now, both of which I really like on a Harley.
The "Aftermarket" Upper Engine Mount keeps the engine from moving Side to Side but, still lets it vibrate frontwards and backwards, by doing this it helps keep the rear wheel In Line because our rear Swing Arm is Mounted to the Rear of the Transmission which is mounted to the engine, so if the Engine moves Side to Side much at all it will cause some rear wheel movement.
I have not looked into it but, if there were Solid Mount front and rear Engine Mounts for this model that I could install on my bike to replace the Stock Rubber Mount ones, I would.
I really liked the Vibration on my 96 Softail Custom, with the Rigid Mounted engine (engine mounted directly to frame). The faster I rode the more the vibration. I would have looked harder for one of those bikes but, I wanted the newer 6 speed with the Overdrive 6th gear for long rides out on the highways.
