Bought it used last sept. I don't think anything was done to the bike except there's S.E. slip'ons for exhaust, decel popping is over the top so must be either lean or too rich.I'll find out soon enough. Now, or next will be stage 1. I'm just hoping the PV isn't obove my knowledge of tuning.... I guess we'll see

Decel popping and burbling is due to fresh air mixing with unburnt fuel coming out of the engine under off throttle situations; when the air/fuel ratio is right it burns off in the hot pipe.

The typical solution is adding fuel off-throttle to alter the AFR which prevents the fuel from burning in the hot pipes, along with preventing the reversion of fresh air in the exhaust system...

Which means she's running lean correct? So the cause is the S.E. slip'ons. Now the stock a/c cover is on and no visible a/c is showing so I assume it's not higher flow a/c that's on. Just changing the slip'ons have that effect?

Not necessarily lean, you can have a decent tune but if additional fuel isn't added to the 0%/decel RPM you can still get the popping and burbling. You don't need to 'flood' the percentages off-throttle but just enough to alter the AFR in the hot pipes. With the Power Vision it will be a simple job in 'Quick Tune' to alter percentages. Under the 'fuel' tab you'll find 'decel', where you can alter percentages and quickly test the results. Under the 'VE' tab you can also tweak the V/E during decel. A bit of trial and error and you'll hit that sweet spot.

Trust me, you'll love that Power Vision

Additionally, working from the exhaust side to help reduce the reversion of fresh air in to the system will also help. This is where DK Custom TTI's can help; they're positioned near the end of the pipes and due to their design they help increase exhaust gas velocity and scavenging, and help prevent the reversion of fresh air back in to the system. They also deepen the tone of the pipes
