Default detachable & lockable Saddlebags

I'm looking for saddlebags for my Street Bob. They have to be detachable and they have to be lockable (against theft of the things inside the bags). Is anybody here with a good idea?

I have bags from The Leatherworks. They're detachable, but not lockable for contents. Really nice bags though.

I have Boss Bags on mine, they are detachable and lockable. I put them on a couple of months ago and really like them. The right side had a rattle in the post where it attached but a thin washer would take care of it.
Here their website and the place online where I purchased them is Iron Horse trading.

Boss Bags are looking good, Leatherlyke too. Is here anybody who has Leatherpros on his Dyna, they are a little bit cheaper then Boss Bags and a little bit more stylish then Leatherlyke?

Leatherpro makes the Dyna bags for Boss Bags. Companies are seperately owned by brothers. If you go with either of these bags you will need to relocate your turn signals.
I used the HD layback license plate relocation on mine. They don't tell you this but you will need to drill holes through the fender for the wiring. I took a different approach when I did mine and drilled the hole through the new bracket and fender, so you don't see any exposed wires or holes on the fender.

Hope this helps.

Here's a picture of the bags.

Super, what year is your Dyna? My '04 had a 4th hole in the fender aleady for the wiring from the relocation kit. Finished my job up last Sunday, looks okay, but I'd like to have had the signals closer to the license plate, but that's just my personal preference.

It's a 2001. Only 3 holes for the existing license plate. From what I was told, the wire was supposed to come out of the bar on each side of where it mounts. And then a hole would have to be drilled on each side through the fender with the wires exposed. HD must have got a few complaints about it, so they must have improved it for newer models. Did you use the rubber gastket that came with it? When I tightened mine down, it mushroomed out about a 1/4" of so and looked like sh#*. So I left it off, figured the original bracket didn't have one so it should be ok.

You could cut the bar and have it rethreaded to get the signals closer.

I definitely like the look of the layback license plate with the turn signals. I was also thinking of getting module to turn the turn signals into running and brake lights also, but I can't find one for 2001. Only 2002 and newer.

Does anybody know, if Boss Bags or Leather Pros made for Dynas will fit the 06 Street Bob?
