Default EFI noise at idle?

Hey guys just got a quick question for ya, rode my bike for the first time this week, and for some reason at idle i hear a faint electronic sound... it almost sounds the same as when you flick that run switch and hear the injectors start, it sounds very similar to that just not as loud i guess. Not sure what it is. Just got the bike used from the dealer has 15k miles, haven't touched anything maintenance wise. I have a 0 deductible 2 year warranty covering all mechanical problems so worse case i get it fixed, but i was wondering if it's something to worry about or keep an eye on. Any ideas?

When you hit the run switch you are hearing the fuel pump, not the injectors. With maybe a gallon in the tank, take the cap off and see if the noise is coming from there. Could be the pump or maybe even a tiny hole in the fuel line.

So yes the fuel pump noise, it sounds similar to that, just at idle, it's hard to hear with the pipes but its defiantly noticeable.

The fuel pump will run as long as the engine is running and will stop when the key is turned off, have you filled the tank, maybe the noise will be muted with the extra fuel.

Fuel was low when i heard the sound, it was maybe 10-15 miles before the fuel light came on. Bike was probably sitting at the dealer for a while as well, I'll fill it up with some premium and give it a shot and see if i still hear it.

Injectors tick. They're little needle valves that pop open and closed by electromagnet solenoids. Every time the pintle closes it ticks.

Other than the fuel pump hissing/humming, it could also be air hissing thru either the IAC valve or butterfly.
