If he’s test road it and loves it, I say go for it.

The Sport Glide is a Softail. It's a mid size/weight Harley.

Neither is a bad bike, just different.

You’re not a bother. We all have questions. Ignore those that don’t get it. Keep asking and most will gladly help

Have him ride both. See which one he likes better.

Anything else is just a random internet strangers opinion. There are pros and cons to any Harley bike compared to another Harley, we all ride what fits us best. He's the only one who can answer that question. None of us know his experience riding or how he wants to ride or get out of the bike, or what he's looking for as far as looks or feel. We can give our experiences in the difference of fit between things we've tried, but none of that really matters in the end. Be like trying to find him a good work boot, he's already chosen a good brand but now he needs to try them on and walk in them to see what model fits him. Best bike in the world is meaningless to the guy who can't enjoy riding it.

Thanks that's all totally true, I am getting lots of advice saying that he needs to try them both, he is going to try out a few different ones but I think now he is wanting the Sport Glide but will see. I just sooooo want to be on the back of one! xx
