How's it going I have a 04 wideglide that has that softail looking rear fender and I've been wanted to get a rear fender that basically every other dyna has the one that curves down with the wheel not up and I don't exactly know what fender to get when I look online and blank fenders I don't know if I'm looking at the correct width a buddy of mine said to get a fxr rear fender and just mock up my own holes on that does anyone know what fender to get or what width fender i need thank you

HD made a kit to go the other way - allowing you to put a WG rear fender on a FXD,FXDL, etc. This means that a standard Dyna rear fender (04-05 for sure, maybe earlier as well but not later than 05) will fit from a width standpoint, but there's lots left to consider..... The strut covers on your FXDWG are longer and have an extra hole. Not sure if this means the struts themselves are longer or just the chrome covers? The seat mount hole is also in a different location (further back) so you either have to hope that the curvature allows you to simply drill a new hole for your current seat, or if you need to get a new seat. Then theres the rear light and license plate mount ....
The width is somewhere between 7 and 8 inches at the widest point.
