Rear turn signal relocation

Rear turn signal relocation
Ok, I had the Riders Essentials Kit put on my 07 FXDC, and now I am looking at adding a set or detachable saddlebags. I know I will need to relocate the turn signals, but I am unsure how to do this. I already have the Harley Layback licenseplate. Can I buy the turn signal relocation seperate? It looks like its just an extra bar. Anyone done this and know where to find the part?

RE: Rear turn signal relocation
I went with the KuryAkyn parts (kit). The kit will relocate the lights to the license plate. The kit is only $29 and looks much better than the overpriced HD POS (my opinion, of course). I used it with my laydown license plate, no problem. My fender had a hole with a black plug already there (no idea why) but the wires went neatly under the fender through this hole. This picture is not great for detail, but you get the idea. I can provide more pics if you are interested.

So Trout did you use a HD laydown and a KuryAkyn relocation kit?

The KuryAkyn kit lets you snug the lights in tighter to the bike as well. It looks very compact and clean.
Sometimes I think the HD kit with that long thin bar looks like alien antenna's sticking out. Plus, with the HD kit, you have to completely disassemble the lights and thread the wiring out the bolt hole and thread it through the tube. Then the lights are tightened to the tube from inside the light housing, with the o-ring and reflector pulled out. This ends up being a cleaner setup, but to tighten or adjust the angle of the light, you have to take it all apart again to get to the bolt that holds it all tight. It's a hassle.

I have the combo HD Laydown Plate with the directional signal bar. I don't know why people think Harley doesn't have one of these. Plus there's plenty of other sources to find other configurations. I don't know about alien looks but mine hasn't been all that much of a hassle.
