Does the 2006 Dyna have the problem with the chain tensioner or has it been switched out to a better system . Purchased my twin cam 88 used 2006 FXDI35 which had 20,000 miles on it no noise coming from there but want to know is it about time for me to change it

 

Replace those when you do your cams. (which you'll eventually do)

 

2006 and later Dyna's, and 2007 and later big twins have the upgraded hydraulic cam chain tensioners and support plate doing away with the #25267-99B system...

 

You should be fine, but next time in there check the pad. 06 and later dynas have the newer cam tensioner and do not have the 99-05 issues there.

 

That year did have problems with the IPB and the 2 two piece rotor/alternator assembly, so you might want to look into those.
