Default What type of trans fluid is this?

Ok so the bob is getting ripped apart for winter. And fast forward. So while I installed the new exhaust, I figured it would be a good time to replace my clutch cable, since it was about on its last thread. Well after pulling the side trans cover, I noticed the trans oil was red and really thick, smelled almost like gear oil. Now I have only had the bike for a few months and was waiting to change the fluids until I started the big project. I have used redline before but it doesn’t look like this. Any ideas? And do you think I should run a couple new quarts of my preferred choice before sealing her up?

Thanks

That is Red-Line trans fluid. Supposed to be very good stuff. I've used it in the past and it works well..

That's exactly what my Red-Line tranny fluid looked like. Kind of a chalkey, pinkish red color.

If u dont want to keep running redline to save a few bucks on a qt, I wouldnt worry about flushing it. Its good stuff and probably better stuff then what would be going in there. Id be happy to see the former owner was using it, btw.

Glad to know its just Redline's trans fluid.
