Just the facts, Here it is 2 weeks later and Bassani has not sent me a new Exh bracket. Bassani first told me they would ship me the correct bracket 2 weeks ago. Now they don't respond at all.

It would not be right if I did not follow up on the Bassani RR story. Its been 3 weeks and I finally got the 2 nd bracket. After bolting everything in place the 2nd bracket is 1.5" too short. I boxed everything up and sending Bassani their $700 exhaust back to them. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Too bad they don't even know their own product to send the correct bracket. They will never get my money again.

Some might say they would have drilled a hole in the bracket to make it fit. Problem is there was only enough room on the bracket to drill one hole and that's not enough strength to the exh system. They would have only been bolted to the heads and one bolt on the muffler. If the muffler bolt fell out on the highway it could mess up a lot of money.

I know this seems trivial at this point but are you sure you have the collector all of the way onto the header. I have seen some very tight ones before that I had to "recontour" and use anti seize to lube it up

Oh yes, I measured the distance inside to where it would bottom out and hit the baffle and could not go any further and marked it on the header pipe. It slid on all the way exactly to the baffle easily then dead stop. Bulldozer could not push it further. I even broke out my magic wand and it would not go further.

Also.. The pipes were exactly the correct length when assembled. Bolted to the heads the end muffler stopped about 1" before the back axel just like the picture showed. Yet the bracket was 1.5" too short.

If you go to this link on post 12, it will show in the details that the collector is welded to the headers. RR short 13312r
