Harley LED mirror install
Hey guys,
I know this topic is beat to death and is maybe more electrical than Dyna but it seems like it's a dyna specific question I have. I'll keep searching for an answer and post back here if I find it. I'm working on my 2007 FXDB
I'm in the middle of installing the HD mirror/signals and have a question for the wiring. My old bullet signals only had two wires running to them (purple and black) and the plug they were going in to was only purple and black as well. If I want to run the mirrors as only signals can I just plug the grey and black straight into them instead of using the Y-adapter? It seems like most bikes have 3 wires running to the signals and even if they just want to use it as signals it requires using the adapter. so that's why I'm asking here assuming it's a Dyna thing that it only has two?
Here's a pic of what I'm working with. The black plug is what the signals were going into before. The white plug (and there's another one for the other side) had nothing plugged into it before. It seems like that's what most people are plugging these into.
Any help would be great.

Okay so I just decided to do it the way the instructions say and use the plug that wasn't being used. Everything seems to be working fine EXCEPT that when my security system beeps and flashes the light when I turn it off those lights aren't flashing.
I don't care if they don't flash just as long as it doesn't effect my security system at all.
