Default Dyna street Bob Lift

Hey guys,

I have a 2007 street Bob. My lift doesn’t work with my bike. I am looking for a new lift, don’t know what to get. Mine doesn’t span outside the oil pan or whatever it is under the frame and if I mod it then the mid controls get in the way. Looking for suggestions on a lift that will fit properly?

You've got a few options with a Dyna. You can pick up something simple like a Sears or Harbor Freight lift and use HD lift adapters, mod the Sears/HF lift to work with the Dyna not using adapters, or you can get a lift like a J&S; no lift adapters or mods required.

Each option steps up in price, but I can say for the record you'll have to take my J&S lift from my cold dead hands

I started with a modded sears/HF lift and it sufficed. Once I tried a neighbors J&S lift I never went back. It costs more but the peace of mind while the bike is on it is worth it.

Yea fair warning, you have to be careful with the HD blocks. If it weren't for my ol walkin in through the garage, my lrs woulda been on the ground. Was installing the wheel and one of the blocks started comin out.

If if I want a gamble, I'll play powerball.

tincup, I'm jelous of your garage...I have a 30x50 pole barn, no kids, and still have **** everywhere.

What j&s lift would I need. I looked at the site and the one gave me info on what bikes it fits but it didn’t say my bike in particular.

As long as it says for Dyna models, you should be good to go

I hate a mess. I can't work if it's messy so I'm a neat freak; never had kids, that helps. My garage is pretty good sized and split with 2 doors, the vehicles are on one side and the bikes were always on the other. I finished off the vehicle side; paint, flooring, the works, but there were always too many bikes on the motorcycle side to finish it off.

Now that I've sold off my restro/basketcase EVO's I'm down to just the Wide Glide, I'm planning on finishing off the motorcycle side; it will help with selling the place soon

This is what I've got: https://jsjacks.com/product/motorcycle-lift/

This thing is rock solid; I've done major work to the bike with it sitting on that lift. The lift is so easy to use that the only times the bike is on the ground is when I'm actually riding her. Otherwise, my Wide Glide is always on the lift. A Power Vision and that J&S are the two smartest things I've bought for my Wide Glide

OH, edited to add: You just missed a sale on the J&S on black Friday. Give them a call, they're very easy to work with, they might be able to get you that deal...

I scored a Craftsmen jack on craigslist and did the modification to widen it out and it works well for my needs on my '07 Street Bob.

How did you mod it and what measurements do you go to?

Here is a video I used when I did mine. I went an inch wider (1/2" on each side) with my setup.
