I was sooking to get another seat for around town for my '07 Superglide. I'm not tall, 5'6", and have a sundowner now. Starting to kill the inside of my legs. Feels like I'm straddling a 2x10 and can't flatfoot, don't like tippy-toeing it. Which is better the Badlander or the stock Lowrider seat? Badlander $199, new lowrider $192, been looking for a usedLowrider seatson ebay but not too many around.
You could try to lower you bike in the mean time.

Just the 06/07 Lowrider seats fit right. Some have put on 04/05 seats but have heard they are shorter and you have to fab a longer tang for theback end to be able to bolt it down.
Thank's!

What about the HD Reach seat.? Puts you forward 1", and the front is tapered to suit the shorter riders, so you can flat foot.

Just ran accross this one on eBay. Its getting a little pricey. Not sure how bad you want one.

A reach seat would probably be best for you, there is one on e-bay right now for a 06-07 Dyna.

Well, finally got me a Lowrider seat from Chicago HD. $159.96 wasn't too bad for a new one considering the ones on ebay were going for around $120.00 + shipping. It didn't come with a strap though, thought it was supposed to. Picked me up one of those black tapered luggage racks too. The only thing I don't like about the seat is that it pushes me a little more forward. I got my feet on the ground now though. With the sundowner I was more used to being able to stretch out but had to tipy-toe stop. I guess the next thing is to send the sundowner to mean city when the funds become available. On a lighter note, took my 19 year old son for his first Harley ride this weekend. His one word description was "relaxing". Yeah, it's relaxing until someone tries to remove you from this life due to their stupidity or inattention, then you can't crap for a week cause you're puckered up so tight. Oh well, ride safe and enjoy.

I couldn't ride my stock lowrider seat 50 miles without my a$$ getting sore. I modified a sundowner seat by taking the cover off and taking some of the foam out so I sit lower. Then I cut the plastic base with a bandsaw to make it narrower where my legs go. I can now put my feet flat on the ground without my inner thighs getting rubbed by the seat. Its very comfortable now.

It's not that important. Was just thinkin if I paid for something it's up to me to use it or not. Besides I was just going to use the Lowrider strap and not for the sundowner, just tuck it underneath. Myself, it looks kinda funny because there is and indention in the seat for the strap. Other than that it's useless like you said.
