Of course you could go the cheep rout like I did and just put mid feet pegs on and leave the forward controls. I shifted and braked with the forwards, but once I got to high gear, down my feet came for comfort.

I say find someone that wants to trade. That’s what I did. Although I did not do it “right” as HD pilot explained mine work. And I plan on changing it this winter when the white stuff is flying. To each there own that’s what’s so fun about these bikes.

No, I hear you. I don't want to "mickey mouse" something together on my bike. I guess I will just have to decide if forwards are for me first before I tackle the project correctly. I only have a 30" inseam so they might be a stretch for me.

This might be a silly question, but does stopping on an uphill pose any challenge for the shorter guys with forward controls? I have quite a few steep grades near my house and often find myself stopped at traffic lights on these hills. At a stoplight on an uphill, I will usually have to have my right foot holding the bike with the rear brake pedal and my left foot on the ground. Just curious if this causes any problems for the vertically challenged with forwards installed.
