In 1970s, NASA lunched two Voyager spacecraft into space. Each had a golden plate which described life on earth in scientific terms. A man and a woman holding hands ( if I remember correctly) and speakers that broadcast greetings in over 50 languages.
One of the sounds the speakers keep broadcasting is the sound of Humpback whales. Because the scientists considered them to be very smart.
The twin Voyagers are the farthest man made spacecraft from earth.
