There was an article over at Revzilla that I was reading yesterday. HD reps go to the dealers and demonstrate and answer questions.

Anyways, the only gripes the author had was that the new model didnt get its own name. And I kind of agree.

What would you call the new model if you were asked to name it?

Either serious or a funny name, whatever.

DynaMil ? Dyna+ Milwaukee ?

MilDyna?

Dysoft?

Softail seems perfect to me... they aren't Dynas, they are rigid mount mono shock bikes so why have dyna anywhere in the name? They should have just dropped the 3 names they carried over and called them anything else like Bobtail Fattail and Lowtail

well as far as the MOCO is concerned they are the evolution of the dyna.... so I guess they are what they say they are... as a few custom shops have shown with a couple of hours they can really straighten out the looks of these bikes

MoCo called it Serengeti during development. Seems like a fine choice to me.

Well, since they've gone softail, call it "Squishy Butt", they can even still use "SB" that way on the one anyway.

Good point and I agree. But they are not Softail the way we know softails either. You and I know what happened here, but say in 10 years its going to be confusing.

A name for a new line makes sense. At least for this forums. They should be in their own section.
