Default Removing the belt drive cover

Has anyone done this? I hadn't considered it till i was reading thru posts and saw a few without covers. The bob comes with one, but i don't even know what it'd take to get it off or if it was even a good/bad idea.

Are you talking about the lower belt guard? If so I took that ugly piece of plastic off a thousand miles ago...Other than looking stupid no real function if you dont travel on alot of gravel roads...But I'm sure some will disagree...

removed the lower and gave it to the dog to chew on.
kept the upper b/c sometimes i have a passenger and having her pants sucked into the belt drive might ruin the mood!

Yeah, are you talking about the belt covers that go over the rear pulley on the wheel, or the primary cover, where the mid-controls are usually located? I've wondered about running without a primary cover myself.

I took both belt guards off of my 07 Robert and have had no problems. They are easy to take off if you have any idea how to use a ratchet it should only take about 10 min.
