2017 Low Rider Price Quote: Am I Getting A Good Deal or Getting Taken?
#21
I keep hearing that. And, normally I would agree. But suddenly, the LRS is part of a seller's market. Quantities are limited, and no more are going to be produced. So, dealers can ask whatever they want knowing the high probability that someone will come along and pay the price. Not necessarily right, but it is what it is.....

Now may not be the best time to sell or trade something in if you want to get top dollar. I bought my FXDL two years ago because I loved everything about it and still do. Maybe someday many years down the road I may think about trading it in. But I will have gotten my money's worth many times over in terms of enjoyment and the ease of working on it myself.
I think the FXDLS will be a classic in time and people will want one that it is in a close to unmolested as possible (I don't consider exhaust or AC much of a modification).

My previous bike was a new old stock 2011 GSXR 6000 that I bought in May 2012 and rode until May 2015 when I sold it and bought my 2015 LR.

If I got the LR S, it would be another 2K for accessories on top of the 8K I would shell out plus my 2015 LR. That is why I have not pulled the trigger just yet.

there's just too much good on the fat bob to buy a lrs over it at this point unless you just really want an lrs. all the mone you'll need to spend on oil coolers, led's etc... already there on the fatbob. think hard but, that lrs aint gonna be there forever or... maybe it will.... 2018s are already getting sold.

Seems a bit knee jerk. Hang on to your LR, if nothing else, punch your 103 out to a 110. I also agree that while the new Fat Bob is a departure from Harley DNA, it's a cool looking bike and with a 114 will surpass the LR-S probably handily...unless you just want a LR-S in which case you can throw reason out the window and buy it.
