This new frame is just penny pinching by the MoCo. I have a hard time believing the solution to our no-FXR problem was a unified softail style frame...

I agree, but if the dyna is a better handling bike vs the softail. How is turning the dyna into a softy better?

I will wait and see when i tryed the new frame to judge it..

This is the same old story when new generation is here.. same when evo came, then fxr was removed, when twin cam came, when rubber mounted cam....

Did they post the prices for these Softail Street Bobs? How much of an increase for the new frame, which will likely be replaced in a few years.

2017 Street Bob - Lean Angles 30/31
2018 Street Bob - Lean Angles 28.5 / 28.5 (similar to a 2010+ Dyna Wide Glide)

On the plus side it looks like the Breakout has gained 3 degrees lean angle to 26 degrees.

Umm, interesting. To me the new Fat Bob shares a lot of its look with the Diavel. Guess the proof will be in the riding

That's one of the things I liked about the wg, get rid of the stock exhaust , go up a 1/2 inch shock you have decent lean angle. As far as the new frame I was just wondering how much u can do to a rigid frame with a hidden shock to make it better. And I am just curious not debating or putting the new models down. I hope it is better. As far as 26 dg for rake, not for me, was not it 07 when they improved the dyna frame by beefing it up , but unless the ad the Fxr triangle ( which so many disliked) it wont be as stiff, I have read.
