XR1200 is appealing.

What's our thoughts on these? I love the black/yellow paint scheme.

Stealer let me test one, while I was waiting for my GS1200, it is like a go kart so much fun, but do not expect to ride long distances on this, or you will need a shoehorn to get you off the ride, looks wise it is cool, but you really have to try it, im 6ft 2 and was not comfortable at all in the seat, my ba..s banging on the tank, its a cool toy but the S1000XR is leaps and bounds better, in that area.

r9t is almost like a bmw sportster. So much customizability. Way more power out of the box.

I was in the same frame of mind 3 years ago and bought the 2014 KTM 1290 Super Duke. Had no idea how to ride a sport bike so I went to a local race school, watched Keith Codes Twist of the Wrist several times, did a few track days and went to Keith Codes California super bike school. I can actually ride my KTM longer than the FXDXT without getting tired, unless I'm in endless corners pushing it hard. Then the legs start to go.

Similar bikes to consider are the Kawasaki Z1000, BMW S1000R, several Ducati models, Aprilia Tuono and many others. Comfort, power, high tech and lots of fun.

I quickly went from wanting 1 bike to 3. Wanted something different. Kinda wanted a crotch rocket but that would not work well with my expectancy to live much longer.

Got a Honda XR650L (better known as a BRP - Big Red Pig) Great for running down the street or cutting a trail. Getting off the pavement is a good thing.

Got a HD Wide Glide for going to work and running around town.

An Indian Roadmaster for the weekend trips.

All are a blast to ride.

Trust me, that thing is way more fun to ride than it should be. All I has to do is sort the suspension.

I like the R9T as well.

One of the bikes I looked at before the SB.
