Use ride on instead of slime. Will balance and give some tire puncture protection. Better for tubeless.

 

Agree on this why suggested both already proved it can happen when only did a tube replacement a few years back without patching and a sharp piece of plastic got it again that I honestly think would have been prevented if it had been patched as well .. The Price of adding the patch is very little for the peace of mind it can bring even if not ever needed .. Just my Opinion .. I no longer ride with Tubed Tires, the Spoke Wheels were the First thing to go when bought the 05 Garage Queen although they were fine ..

 

Tube eating bugs may crawl into the hole and eat his new tube.

 

The odds of something piercing through the previous hole in a tire are pretty long. I've never seen it personally.
Believe me, I've had a lot of flatz!
