You kidding - right

Where was the axle / axle nut / c-clamp - when the bearing / spacer were falling onto the floor

The fix is - put it all back together - but check that the bearing is good first

So

Is it the correct bearing for the wheel

Is the hub wallowed out - and needs replaced

You have calipers that you can take some measurements

That's not normal those buggers are pressed in and very hard to remove without a proper tool guess you need to take it to indy or HD shop to get it fix right.

Sorry but unless you was cleaning your wheel in a freezer a -40 that bearing should not fall out, does not sound like it was the correct bearing to start with as the ops have said above.

Well you can either go to a machine shop, and see what they say, or get a bearing shim.

You probably don't need a new wheel. Try some Loctite Bearing Retaining Compound.

http://www.machinebuilding.net/ta/t0418.htm

Several versions are offered, 660, 680 etc. It's easy to find at auto parts stores, Amazon and elsewhere.

This is an adhesive that can hold the race of a loose bearing in its bore.

Other brands are also out there.

Also, I'd replace all the wheel bearings. H-D has been using some cheapo bearings in recent years. Buy a name-brand like Fafnir/Timken etc.

If you do a search, you'll find an old thread where I gave more info and part numbers.

Your bearing probably went bad, locked up and spun in its bore. You should be able to fix this just fine.

edit- here ya go. Read this old thread. H-D changed sizes on some of these wheels so double check part numbers to make sure for your year model.
