Thunderheader Heat Shield - How well do they work
I have a Thunderheader 2into1 exhaust system on my 2006 Dyna, and it gets pretty hot. Looks like the heat shields are around $200 - do they work?

I have a 16 Lowrider and the heat was horrible. I got a crotch cooler. While they don't take away the heat completely, they have helped immensely.

They work ok. But even with the heat shields a portion of the pipe is not covered on our dynas

They keep you from melting your shoes on the pipes.

The full heat shields on my Bassani help, but they're not a cure-all...
