I'm sure this has been addressed before, but I haven't been able to find it. I've been searching for a long time to find hard bags to fit my Dyna but have obviously discovered that it's not easy. Everything I've found is the short bags and I want the full size that won't stick out past the fender. I don't know how to modify them myself but if I have to I know I can figure it out. Then there's the issue of the hardware. Any recommendations on how to proceed or what any of you did?

 

Someone on the forum has the large leather Roadking bags on his Dyna FL conversion
They look good on there. The bike is flat black with an early batwing. Search out Dyna FL conversions

 

The rear shock is the problem and you either have to cut out a section of the bag to make it fit around and it still might stick out past the fender or just get one of the kits and diffent rear fender. I got the sumax brackets and rear fender and then bought the bags off ebay.

 

 

Here is how I cut my bags out. The pocket is a little larger then as seen in the pic because I required a little more room.
