Default Another victim - 2006 Stator Carnage

Just my luck that 2 weeks into owning my new-to-me 2006 Wide Glide (17,000 miles) the rotor bolts would back out, contact the stator, shear, and cause all sorts of carnage in the primary. My independent will be tack-welding the new rotor bolts this time, and we're replacing the inner primary bearing with the Baker bearing for added insurance. Is there anything else we should do while we're in there (I've heard maybe a different chain tensioner)?

You can use an 07+ stator that doesn't have the bolts that tend to back out. I would recommend doing the chain tensioner with the Baker Attitude Adjuster or something similar.

The P/O put the 07 stator in my 2006 Street Bob

Edit: The P/O also mentioned something about a Baker bearing to. I didn't know anything about it at the time I bought the bike.

12,000 ish miles and as of now it runs like a charm.

S&S race instead of the Baker bearing is what I'd go with.

Positively replace with 07 stator and get rid of that automatic adjuster.

Get the Baker Comp and the newer SE rotor, you won"t have to worry about those screws backing out cause that aren't there. Also get the Baker Attitude adjuster or the Hayden version for the chain tensioner.

Looks like we're going with:
- Screaming Eagle Compensator and rotor (boltless!)
- 2007 stator (upgrades charging system to 50amp)
- Baker Attitude Adjuster manual chain tensioner (no more over-tightening stock auto adjuster)
- Baker inner primary bearing (stock IPB is fine - for now - this is going in for insurance)
- New complete clutch assembly - basket, hub, plates & discs (tooth was broken-off the clutch basket, so replacing everything together)

Anything I'm missing?

While its all apart I'd throw a new drive belt on. A few more dollars for what will be a whole new driveline.

HELLO. I've had the same trouble you've had and need the same parts that you went with on your 06 wide glide. Would you happen to remember the part #'s and the place you purchased them? If appreciate any thing you could tell me about the upgrade. I have it covered as far as the mechanics go . thank you very much.
