Default throttle choke

Why does my motor stall or choke out when I twist my throttle quickly. I have to ease into first 1/8 or 1/4 turn, or my engine wants to die out. even if i push throttle lever at carb, same same.If I push it quickly, as if I blipped the throttle back quickly to get a quick rev, the motor chokes out, but doesnt die.

A good possibility is the accelerator pump and or the pump might not be getting the correct amount of gas --- as time for a real good carb cleaning ' not the spray can cleaning -- a soaking of a clean

First of all, you don't have a carb.
Not enough info-
Any mods on the bike, like a tuner, etc?
How many miles? You could have a hole in the internal fuel line or a clogged filter. Dirty IAC is possible, too.
What do the plugs look like?
When was the air filter last serviced? It could be dirty.

yeah, my fault. This is my first fuel injected so i still call it carbonated. I do have a FP# tuner, and a new max flow air breather. Installed by a tech (not that that means is done exactly right,,,) I will look at the plugs and reply tonight.

Sounds like an issue with your tune. I'm not at all familiar with the FP tuner so I couldn't say what to adjust. I have had similar issues in the past and was able to cure it by raising the "accel fuel" (thundermax tuner) which is like adding a bigger pump jet on a carb.

the bigger question would be did this just start happening? Had it always done this? Was it after installing a mod? You might also check for exhaust leaks as i've seen that cause this issue aswell (rev match on down shift, throttle blip would cough).

k-weaver:
it started happening slowly. little by little getting worse. it does not happen on downshifts, only when sitting idle either in gear or neutral. Thanks again for any insights
