okay everybody i would like honest answers only no bs. what is everybodys thought on a concord purple & diamond ice 01 lowrider with v&h drag pipes and a lot of chrome acc. it is my first bike and i love it, but i hear a lot of various comments about the colors. i thought this would be the best place to find what real people think about it so let me have it good or bad.

 

You know what, I personally like the concord purple color mainly because I just got a 00' Wide Glide in January and it's the concord purple color. The only thing I don't like about mine is that the purple is the dominant color. So I'm thinking when I get it re-painted towards the end of the year I'm going to make black the dominant color with the purple as an accent color. But other than that I love the purple color mainly becuase when you go to rides and what not, you can spot yours out in the crowd in a heart beat.

 

Can you post a pic? I have seen some look real nice, depending on the shade of purple and others that looked down right hideous.

I agree that purple can be overwhelming, but it can also make for a great paint job. Just depends on the whole picture.

For instance, there is a dude that runs around here with a purple bike, purple primary and other parts that should be chrome are purple as well. Now that's just plain tacky IMO of course.

 

Dad came real close to getting a Heritage in that color scheme before he decided on the black Road King Classic. It was a good looking bike. As long as it's not lavender.

You say you love it so get it and don't worry about what anyone else thinks. One of the things I like about Harleys is you never see two exactly alike.

 

Mine's cobalt blue pearl. Kinda looks purpleish in the sunlight. I really like it because I hardly ever see another like it and I always get complimented. It's really cool when someone walks by at the gas pump or whatever and just says "that's one nice lookin set a wheels you got there".
If it goes BLING to you, buy it.
