Dyna FXD SuperGlide
Hello all,
Well after trading in my 05 Road King last fall for my little boy's preschool (metaphorically speaking) I am missing it even more then I thought.
As such I am looking for another bike. This time instead of tying up $20,000+ I am leaning towards the SuperGlide.
Any opinions from you all here that has a SuperGlide? And by chance has anyone here owned both a Road King and Dyna?
Thanks all,
David

RE: Dyna FXD SuperGlide
Howdy,
I own a Super Glide, but have been demo riding several RK and Electra models lately so I feel I have a sense of both.
Super Glides handle like sports cars compared to Road Kings. The power to weight ratio of the FXD is much more smile inducing than the Road King. Suspension compliance cannot compare, the touring bikes are much better at absorbing road irregularities.
Find a dealer with a Demo Day and ride the FXD, my dealer has had two in about a month's time!!!

What kind of riding will you be doing? If you are doing lots of 2 up riding, or long road trips, the RK is the better bike IMO.
If you are more into local trips and enjoy twisting the wick so to speak....then get the Dyna. It's a lot more fun to ride.
I have a bagger and a Dyna, but if I had to choose just one, it would be the bagger because I do lots of long trips.
