Hi Mud,
I checked an online parts catalog for sportster horns. Checked a couple different years/models but the horns look like the seashell type found on our dynas.
Just wondering if you know the exact model/year you got your horn from.

Thanks man! Great info as usual.
Cheers, Kevin

dailydriver, best sig EVER! I snipped the image and sent it the wife. Thanks!

And the best mod under $50 is Gary7's baffle replacement for straight cut stock mufflers. Described here:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...ffler-mod.html

$38 baffles and $6 for adaptor pipes. And WOW, does it sound a lot better!

Anyone got black fork boots on a wide glide? I am considering but I am not sure. I like the look on the bob's.

Drilled the stock heatshields. $37 bucks for a stepping bit at Lowe's.

Everybody - even people who should know better - thinks I got new pipes.

That looks nice. Probably because of the contrast in the chrome and black metals.

Just wondering: why not just take off the heat shields? I rarely touch my pipes with my legs. Most after market pipes dont have the shields, right (I could be wrong here)?

Come to think of it, Ive been thinking of getting rid of the lower belt guard. That thing is ugly and cumbersome. Probably keep the upper belt guard for passenger safety purposes (will get a chrome one probably).

Any reason to remove the lower belt guard--havent heard of anyone with a story to tell about getting a twig stuck in their lower belt.

Cheers.

Don't have any pics, but if you like lizard lights, the best route to go is Autozone. Pick up a couple packs of led strip lights (various colors) and stick them to the bottom of the tank. Cost is about $40.
