Default Removing reflectors off of rear fender and forks

Has anyone removed the reflectors off their bike. I am a little concerned about removing them from the rear fender. Not sure what it will do to the denim black paint. Any suggestions on how to remove them would be greatly appreciated. Will it leave marks on the denim paint? Thanks for the help.

Just sawed mine off with dental floss, removed residue with M-1 remover and cleaned with windex. That paint is pretty tough.

Good Luck

most of those things have sticky backed tape. use a hair dryer to warm it till the adhesive starts to loosen, then gently work a thin piece of wood ( like a tongue depresser ) under an edge and slowly work to the other end. should come right off. we used this trick on my daughter's mustang show car, didn't harm the paint at all. not too hot and not too fast!!!! slow and easy does the trick.

use the dental floss and goto wal-mart for 3m adhesive remover. the ones on the paint came off easier than the forks. either way there are no marks left with either one. also the 3m works good for the stickers on the downtube if you wish to remove those also.

Just peeled `em off. Removed what adhesive was left with 3M Adhesive Remover.

Heat gun & pull. Very easy. Some glue residue will remain. Heat it up & roll it off...

Thanx

Thin fishing line does a great job removing them (leaves behind some adhesive).

THen hit the adhesive with any commercial remover - I often use "goo gone". These are usually citrus based and won't harm the paint.

Did exactly the same only sprayed some Goo Gone on first to saturate the adhesive - came off very easily with the fishing line working from one end of reflector to the other. Still a lot of residue left so sprayed again and carefully 'scraped' it off with the edge of a plastic spoon. Wiped off the area and later cleaned up with Windex. Never could tell anything was there.

Ditto the heat gun tactic. I was lucky enough not to have residue to worry about.
