Default Beefing up the clutch?

What are you folks using to beef up your clutches for higher HP/TQ.

spring plates, discs, baskets....?

i used an energy one clutch stack with %15 on my sporty and saw they had some goods for Big Twins... doesn't mean those are great....

I'd figure out where your engine build is going to end up before worrying about the clutch. Cart before the horse.

I'm running an Alto +1 kit with a SE 380lb spring and it's holding my 120ft-lb of torque just fine. Cost effective and it works.

Supposedly the factory clutch is ok for torque up to 135 ft lbs. I did a 117 upgrade with 120 ft lbs torque and I'm still running the factory clutch.

A VPC is a good option.

i'm going with this, i can add a VPC later. so many options, looks like AIM supplys S&S and HD (and probably others) with them and they can be installed through the derby opening. i got the Barnett 307-30-10013 Extra Plate Clutch Kit Kevlarb set and will be getting the SE diaphragm spring.

Good deal. You need to get really familiar with the Big Boyz Twin Cam calculator when planning an engine build. When you plug in the spec for a a 107, 110, etc and enter the specs for 79cc heads and pick a cam. .you'll see real quick why those heads won't work. Compression would be through the roof.
