Hey everyone,

I just bought my first HD so I'm pretty new to mods. Just wondering how the height of handle bars is measured and what the stock Street Bob handle bars are?

I'm looking at getting black bars and don't want to get anything higher than the stock ones since they are already at my provincial regulation height.

Well Stock streetbob apes are 10 inches, but it sounds like you are from Canada where they have a handlebar height law, well you have to be careful if they take into account the risers, and if your apes are more forward they will be higher, I am sure some of the Canadian lads will chime in, they know that rule.

 

With risers I think mine measured just under 12" but as mentioned in previous post the stock mini apes are right around 10-10.5 inches tall.

2 inch risers, 10 inch bars. In Michigan the highest part of the bars can't be more than 15 inches than the lowest part of the saddle. Got pulled over in Wyoming for havin 16s.

 

That's what I did to mine.....10 inches is the standard height.

 

I have a set of Zombie Performance Hybrid Mini Apes that I'd purchased for my Sportster and only mocked up never put on. If you're interested let me know and I can check on shipping for you. I'd be willing to let them go cheap as I'm trying to clear out my parts bin for a new exhaust. Here are the specs:
