Thanks for the input everyone. Yes I know fans WILL cool the engine. But at the same time I don't believe that cooling fans alone are the solution. I'd like to do a 2 inch tank lift, get the bike dyno tuned, add cooling fans (even though I hate the way they look), vent the ac to atmosphere, and do a jagg fan assisted oil cooler. Once I figure out my power vision I will monitor the operating temp, then post updates as far as which component I've added and what impact it had on the operating temp.

This is a solid plan It's a methodical approach to improving your temperatures that will give you the best results. Fans are an option, they're another tool in the toolbox but I simply cannot abide those things on my Wide Glide so I've taken alternate routes to achieve added cooling.

Kevin at DK Custom posted up an FAQ that lays out the why's and how's to get your Twin Cam running as cool as possible...

Damn tin cup that's some good reading. Thank you. Thank you to everyone who has posted their insight on this. Do you guys think I could get operating temp low enough with the tank lift, dyno, vent ac, and fan assisted oil cooler, but no cooling fans? I just hate the god awful appearance of them, and since I already have a windshield and saddlebags, I'd rather not add something else I hate the appearance of if I don't have to. Thank you.

Nothing lost by trying. You can always add fans later.
