Default Just Taller Risers Instead Of New Apes On Bob ??

Hey guys...

I was looking at getting some taller apes on my bob. Truth is, i'm 5'4", & would only like to raise them up just a little bit more. Is it possible to just add slightly taller risers to the bobs stock bars withough changing over all the wiring & such ?? let me know if you would, & if you have any resources, that would be great as well.

Thanx
Chap

by looking at my bob it seems you have to change out the front brake line its pretty tight right now with factory bars on it ..

Hi, I have a Wide Glide and I am about 5'6" but wanted my bars nearer to me without pulling the bars themselves backwards out of line with the forks. (looks strange don't it?)

Anyhow, I thought 4" pullback risers would do the job only to find that the H-D book says they don't fit.............Well they do, and as long as your risers rubbers etc are in good condition they miss the tank console by about 1/4"!!

Long and short of it is all cables and wiring etc, fits no probs. but yes you will definitely have to change front brake hose.(good excuse to get a braided one!!)

They feel the dogs!!

Hope this helps,

Ian

I changed the risers on my wife's Bob without changing any wire or cables :

After:

Risers are from Drag Specialties model : DS-290126 2.5” Pullback $49.95.

Picture of the old vs new risers:

The bars are now a little higher and closer to Her.

Good to know, I really appreciate it. I would rather just go straight up without the pullback. What is the rise of your Drag Specialties risers ?? Would 4" straight up do the trick ?? I think stock are 2" right ??

Thanx

Chap,

If you go this route, maybe investigate straightening the bent metal piece in the middle of your existing brake line instead of replacing the whole line. Just something to think about...
