Consumer grade adjustable torque wrenches are notoriously finnicky and inaccurate. For this reason, I only use beam type torque wrenches.
At work we use expensive lab-grade digital ones or non user asjuatable break-overs. All are annually calibrated and cost several hundred each. I can't afford that noise at home.
