as as for the seat it will sit you a little up i have a tuck and roll style step in without gripper material and it is grippy enough ran it for 150 miles in the rain with no worries of slipping off it. Takes a couple hundred miles to break in though but after its great
Lol! That is funny. I thought if I asked him in front of everyone, he might tell me send it in, we will send u a new one. Put him on the spot maybe. All kidding aside it is a excellent seat!

I'm very happy with my part of the Lucky Daves seat and it looks great IMHO. However, for longer rides (180+ miles), my wife is less than pleased with her portion...

After a few months finally got my Lucky Dave's. When I put it on today I realized I have to push it down so it can reach the bolt.
Is this normal? I'm guessing it needs to break in.

I also have to push down a little to install my saddlemen so I am gonna say yes it’s normal to have to push a little

I've been eyeing this seat as well. How does it reposition the rider from the stock riding position?

It will move you closer to the tank and lock u in. It is a stiffer seat than stock, but the more miles I put on it the better (softer ) it becomes. It also keeps my back more in line.

I am 6ft, being moved closer is not a problem for me with the forward controls. It might be a problem for some who are taller with mids. I would and probably will put one on my fxr ( mid control ) but just something for you to maybe look into if this situation applies to you.

As far as height, does it lift you / drop you / stay the same?

Rauchman-
Typically the ride height is about the same however our progressive density foam does not compress or compact under load so the actual ride height may vary depending on how much you weigh and how broken in your seat is now.
