Anyone fitted low wide bars to a street bob?

You do not seem to be getting many responses yet. Maybe that is because the Bob riders like their bars as they are. However, I am also looking into changing bars but maybe for a different reason than yours. I spent almost 15 years on a Sportster with buckhorn bars and the Bob bars seem to be too wide for me, even though I have canted them back far enough to make the average Bob owner wince at the sight. The Bob bars are three or four inches wider on the tips than the buckhorns and they give me a pain in the muscle attachments along the spine. I never had the problem with the buckhorns and I did some long rides with the Sportster.

I was interested in the reply you got about Flanders bars. They look pretty nice. Too bad we can't try bars on like a new hat; however, if the dealer does the installation, you are a couple hundred dollars or more into the program before you know if they fit.

Good luck.

I want to put some different bars on but I'm having trouble finding what I want. I'd like a pair that are lower than the mini apes, the bars on a the superglide are about the right height, but I don't want them pulled back like the SG bars.

Any suggestions?

Hello, herearefew pics of mine. A modified Super Bar CCI 10018.
The XLX is slightly hygher and larger (CCI 11023).
The Fehling Power Bar is nice too (CCI 8695-1-2-3).
You can go to really wide with kind of "beach bars" if you like that look, but not really comfortable!
Gunny.

I've got Wild 1 504's. They're fairly low and wide. You can use stock cables etc.
