Default Any customized Superglides? Seriously...

Hey guys,

Most of you guys have read my posts on here, and know what I am building......and I know of maybe 2-3 other guys on here building a fulyl customized SUPERGLIDE. R Racing comes to mind....who else? I need more inspiration guys.....

ALOT of Street Bob owners doing really trick stuff....just want to know if I'm the only "silver motor guy" out there really...[&:]

PLEASE...post pictures....3 months until I'm back home from duty in Korea (it's hell with all the booze and women, trust me!!), and start putting my bike back together...she's together right now, as in the pic below, but I have my 7K+ worth of parts to install, paint, modify, etc. and I can't wait!

Traveler,

All depends on what you want to do because honestly the possibilities are endless and of course expensive! I have installed the 110 upgrade, braided cables and brake line, the Pro-R Hypercharger and Wild Things throttle body. So far almost all the bolts have been replaced with chrome ones and not to even start to go with the HD Chrome I have paid for. Just ordered the Big City Thunder baffles for the SEII slip ons and am still up in the air about what color I am going to go. Mine is also the Sunglow Blue but I dont like the factory pin stripe around the tank. Let me just WARN you........ Once you get started it is hard to stop!

----This is an older photo when I had just started before the cables, intake and hyper charger---

Here is my superglide that I have been working on. Nothing too wild. It is a 99. I put wide glide forks on with 3 deg trees, tins off a 2001 Wide Glide and a few other things.

Now I am stuck between doing more to this bike or starting my bobber build[sm=confused06.gif]

Good luck with yours.

My 2003 SuperGlide, most mods are visible in the picture, not shownare the forward controls installed nowand the chrome front caliper to match the chrome rear caliper.Internally the cam gear drive and Andrews TW-37G cams really work well with the SuperTrap 2:1 SuperMegs exhaust.

Stock 88 CI and heads,

I prefer the silver motor, looks like the CVO bikes, more raunchy,

Joe, last week I'm on the interstate, pulled over by one of those stealth cops.

First question - speedometer work on that thing??

Yessir.

You were hitting 95.

Yessir, sorry about that.

License and insurance card please.

Says 2006 SuperGlide here.

Yessir, it's an 06.

WHAT HAPPENED to it??

I like to build sheit, sir.

So, he proceeds to circle my machine for about ten minutes.

The VIN gonna match these papers??

Yessir, the numbers are on this side.

What kinda exhaust is that??

Vance and Hines, sir.

How loud is it??

I don't know, want me to start it up??

Yeah. then after about a second and a half -
Shut it off. Yeah, it's loud.

Where's the mufflers??

The baffles are inside, sir.

Law says mufflers, not baffles.

I can't see you license plate sticker.
What's it say??

November, sir.

Well, I can't see it from here.

As another five minutes of lecture proceeds, I am tabulating the damage.
Tickets in Tejas ain't cheap.
150-200 for each infraction.
I figure I'm at about 7-800 already.
The stealth cops here pride themselves on multiple infraction incidents.

So, then he hands my paperwork back to me,
and says -
"you need to slow it down a bit".

Here's some pix of my 06 SuperGlide Joe:

That's a great story!!

I got pulled over last week too...was in my truck though. No idea why he pulled me over, wasn't speeding, had seat belt on, just turned a corner and had signal on...

Ended up giving me a written warning for window tint being too dark and then proceeded to holster his tint-o-meter on his Bat-utility belt.
