Exhaust poll - Lowrider S
#61
Different fender mostly.
Performance wise the E-series would have no effect with the fender, but if I end up with a fender with a slanted chop or something the longer exhaust might look too heavy to balance with the lighter look of that fender.
I'm annoyingly particular once I start modifying things. It's like once you take the fairing off a LR-S the balance shifts and suddenly the gold wheels look out of place to me.

Need more clips like that by the same camera, thanks for sharing (does sound good!)
Side note, anyone know how the Sawicki's are doing? They're offering them in ceramic black now but it's a new finish for them.
Sounds awesome [in a Youtube video]
Does have both pipes run under the foot pegs actually make any difference in handling, or rather scraping? I know it's tighter for room but I would think the foot pegs would catch first. Just curious.

So a quick update to anyone doing some research of their own. (I'm not looking to bump this but rather update it as I read though old topics all the time and spend just as much time looking for follow ups to what people were doing.)
Bottom line I've discovered is the exhaust must be heard in person, videos don't capture any of the 'life' of an exhaust. Dyno numbers all seem to be on par with each other, least in Stage 1, so looks and sound becomes a bigger factor in choosing an exhaust.
Case in point... thunderheaders. They sound ok in videos but in person I can see why people swear by them. Good at idle and awesome when cranking on it. A lot more "life" to my ears than a Bassani (again, to my ears). I like the angry bear sound of a Harley vs the cunning wolf if that makes any sense.
But looking at one in person, if I go that route it will be a RedThunder. The build quality and finish of a Thunderhead matches well to a Mad Max looking bike, not so much a shiny new one in my opinion. I'd rather keep the pipe American made, but it would drive me nuts.
Also still looking into what can be done with the factory 2-1-2 Tommy Gun setup. From the Dynos I'm coming across you should be able to get an equal stage 1 out of them as you would swapping the whole system.
But then of course comes the real question... can you get it to sound like a Thunderheader. Ha.
