Default 08 FXDB: thinking of cutting rear fender

Hey everyone, I have been viewing cut rear fenders for the FXDB and love the look. All of the cut rear fender pictures I had come across do not have the quick attachment bracket for saddle bags and was wondering if anyone on the forums have cut the rear fender and maintain the hardware for saddle bags.

Thanks!

If you want to keep the bags you're probably limited to cutting the fender to the ends of the fender struts. I have the "chopped" rear fender on my fxdls and would like to cut it even with the fender struts so I can keep the detachable bags/sissy bar.

Which fender is this, is it the shorter Chopped fender like the newer Street Bob's have or the longer fender like the Super Glide's or Low Rider's have? If it is the longer one, I would suggest searching for a chopped style fender to cut up, there are a good number of people looking for the longer style fender and you could prob get a good price on selling yours or maybe find someone willing to trade. Just a thought.
