Default Headlight bulbs

Thought there was a thread recently about swapping headlight bulbs, but I couldn't find it. Is this an option with a 2016 Street Bob? Any recommendations?

what do you mean by "option"? Most h4 halogen and led driving bulbs will fit in there.

Sorry - meant is that a good option. Everyone seems to spend so much on full headlight. Curious why more don't just replace with brighter bulbs.

Brighter bulbs work for me. About eight bucks apiece on amazon. If you put them in a 5 3/4 bucket, may melt socket with the 90 or 100 watt high beams. Ceramic sockets fix this for about eight dollars a pair.

I would worry about melting the wiring harness with 100 watt bulbs. There are plenty of automobiles out there that won't stand the test, never mind a motorcycle wiring harness. Just make sure you have the appropriate gauge wire for the heavier power draw.

Get the PIAA 70856 H4 Xtreme White Antivibration bulb, or 70456, it's cheaper.

Been running them for about 13years in 7" bucket, never had a problem. A friend did put one in his 5 3/4, melted connector, wiring was fine. You can et 80 watt high beams also. He did run his on high all the time though I think..

Here are a couple of options. I use the Pathfinder from socalmotorgear.com since I got it a while back before DK Customs offered LED bulbs. Haven't had the need to replace. It's been installed in three different headlight buckets including my stock 5 3/4" headlight.

I recently bought these for my Honda "throw down" commuter bike. It arrived in an unexpected box of two. I'm thinking I may need to try swapping the second one out in my Low Rider headlight...
