Any 2-1 will perform and sound better than the stock exhaust. As for what's the best? Well that's subjective. There are lots of fans of the D&D fat cat for performance, and thunderheader for sound. I personally run a two brothers comp-s and have been really happy with it. I also like how the bassani road rage 3 looks. If I was looking to change up my exhaust I would probably go that route. There are tons of threads on exhaust and lots of YouTube sound clips available. Happy hunting.

I have a 2 Bros race comp on my LRS. If I was gonna do it again, I'd do Bassani RR.

There is no best, there's best for you.

for you monster, maybe:
d&d fat cat $$
http://www.danddexhaust.com/catalog/harley-davidson/dyna

bassani road rage $$
http://www.bassanipipes.com/dyna-roadragefullsystems.aspx

thunderheader $-$$
http://www.thunderheader.net

sawicki speed 2-1 $$$ + wait
http://www.sawickispeedshop.com

Those sites have the info but you can find most of thos pipes, outside of the sawicki, cheaper.

Do any of you running the 2:1 systems with the bend next to your right foot peg have troubles burning your right boot due to contact???

Ok the best 3 options period are as follows:
1-d&d fatcat
2-d&d fatcat
3-d&d fatcat

Lol in case you couldn't tell, im a big fan of the fat cat especially since I used to ride with a guy who had the tire shredder kit with one. That's what inspired me to buy one actually. As previously stated, any 2-1 is gonna be good. I personally don't like Vance and Hines, but I would suggest either the d&d fatcat, thunder header, or bassani road rage. The only 2-1 I've owned is the fat cat and I will never switch to another system

Look up the Fuel Moto exhausts. I hadn't heard they did them until mchad's thread about the e-series so I had to go look them up yesterday. I only looked at that one pipe (E-series) but they had three dyno sheets with different engine setups. The numbers were good and the pipes are cleverly engineered. I'm sold on the quality/performance. not that I'd run a 2-1 on my own big twin, but still. I'm not in it for the power.

Speaking of which.... If you don't have a tuner that can take full advantage of your mods, there's not much point in upgrading anything else. Get a tuner first.

Not the boot, but I did burn through the inside ankle area of a pair of riding jeans. I just had a suede patch stitched over that area. No more problems....

It did take about a year riding in those jeans before it went through with the heat, so I wouldn't really worry about it.

I have a D&D Bobcat, if I had to do it over again I'd get another D&D Bobcat!
