My dad bought his 05 WG in Sept. 04. He has over 16,000 miles on it. He changed the plugs once after getting some bad gas, but no problems. Replacing the pegs with anything will be an improvement over the tiny rubber ones.

Congrats on the new Wide Glide. I had an '04 Brilliant Silver WG that I rode from Southern Wisconsin to Needles California and back last September...13 days, 11 states and 5200 miles. Although the bike had several warranty issues right off the bat, it ran flawlessly and was very comfortable for me on this extended trip. Traded it this July (got a bagger, wanted the lockable storage and stereo) with 11,000 happy miles. Good luck!

Welcome from SW Ohio! Got a 2005 Brilliant Silver Pearl WG EFI myself, just love it. Other than the engine quitting on cold mornings, it is awesome! lol! They can't figure it out so I keep riding...Nice choice of bike. Added some more chrome to mine, especially like the chrome fork sliders I just added at the 5,000 mile service, what a difference!

I've got a 96 Cobra but its not getting much use since I got the bike - well that and I got a little heavy footed and spun a main bearing in it. I just got the bike so I dont have the bread to rebuild just yet. so its a garage queen till I can scrounge up the pennies to do it right.

Fords and Harleys go together well. [sm=icon_rock.gif]
