OP~ go rent each model for 24 hours and ride the crap out of them. Day/night/2-up/solo riding. You can't properly evaluate a bike with a "ride around the block". Ya gotta test 'em out. Make notes right after you turn the bike in, then get the next bike and do the same. Go over your notes and see which bike meets the most of your criteria. It's better to make a $200 investment, then an $18,000 mistake.
If you buy your bike from the dealer you rent from, chances are, they may reduce the cost of those rentals to zero on the price of your new bike. Those rentals just became "free..."
So really just concerned about how the front ends will affect turn in wich makes me kinda lean towards the sb but everyone says the wg rides so nice
Unless you are really a knee dragger, and most are not, the front end will not make a difference in handling except at very slow speed. The ride is better due to longer wheel base.
I am a biased wideglide fan, but as has already been said the important thing is the test ride. Get what feels right to you, but the Richard Simmons image on a wide glide.....requires a brain wash.
