You've nailed it; the Street Bob is a glorified spendy Sportster. The Wide Glide is in a class all her own

I have to agree,
Ride a FXDF, before you decide.

I've owned a wide glide, street bob and now a fat bob. All three three are great bikes. I would rent each for a day or two if possible. All will handle very differently and it probably will be tough to tell which will suit you best during a 15-20 minute test ride.

Hmm...more FXDs added to the mix...well, one of them has to look better than the other ones

It all boils down to which one YOU want and can afford. Both great bikes. I just bought a new sb after riding them all and love it. Soon as i pay it off in a year or two im gonna go and buy a brand new road glide as well. So then i will have a bike for around town and short runs and a highway bike for long distance with the wife. The sb or the wg will do just fine 2 up. But i wanna have both a touring bike and my dyna. Call me crazy. I couldnt justify the extra money between the wg and sb knowing i was gonna eventually have the dyna and a touring bike. Again it all boils down to what you like. Most people like the street glide in my area but since i have ridden a road glide im dead set on one. Cant go wrong either way.

There all good. As a daily I like my fxdbi. But a nice wide glide looks great too.

Post some pics of bikes you like. If you like a club look then a wide glide would not be the first pic

if you like a chopper look than the wide glide would be great. They have a nice kicked out front end and a wider rear tire. So they look cool too

if I could I would own both.

if you are set on a Dyna, for sure do not decide until also test riding the Low Rider before your final decision.
