I have a 5x8 Home Depot utility trailer that weighs about 450 lbs, I can fabricate my own ball hitch mount for the bike, please take a look at my signature line and tell me how much weight you think my bike can tow.

 

I think this is a supremely bad idea unless you live in in one of the more rural areas of Viet Nam.

Please don't do that, life is worth living. By the way, the motorcycle trailer I briefly considered buying only weighed 79 lbs.

 

The GVWR of your bike is slightly under 1100 pounds, and wet weight ( full of fluids, no accessories) is about 700 pounds. Add your weight ( say 200) and a passenger ( say 150), and you are already ~ at the limit.

well I've been towing and backing trailers since before I had a driver's license, but I've never tried towing with the bike, I see trailers from time to time so I was curious

Yea they have trailers specifically for motorcycles but I'm not willing to attempt it. For those who are, more power to ya
